Terminal T3 is nearly one kilometre from T1 and T2. Passengers moving between terminals must travel on roads outside the airport. Work out your terminal before you pick a way into the city.

Which terminal you land at
Tan Son Nhat has three passenger terminals. T1 and T3 handle domestic flights, and T2 handles international services.
T1 mainly serves Vietjet flights as of 12 July 2026. Vietnam Airlines, Bamboo Airways, Pacific Airlines, Vasco, Sun PhuQuoc Airways and several other carriers moved domestic flights to T3.
Nearly 1 km separates T3 and T1, though a September 2025 figure was about 2 to 3 km. A free bus ran from T3 to T1 about every 20 minutes in September 2025.

City buses from the airport
Bus 152 goes from the airport to Ben Thanh Market. Pickup is at the International Terminal and at lane B of the Domestic Terminal, B06 to B09.
A trip takes 50 to 55 minutes, with a bus every 12 to 30 minutes. The first bus leaves at 5:15 and the last at 22:00. An April 2025 report gave a 19:00 last bus, so confirm times in the Go!Bus app.
Bus 109 runs from Saigon Bus Station to T3 since 28 April 2025, and no longer passes T1 and T2. It ran 5:30 to 22:40 at T3 and 5:45 to 22:30 at Saigon Bus Station, every 15 to 25 minutes. The route is about 9.3 km and takes about 45 minutes, depending on traffic.
The 109 fare was VND 5,000 to 6,000 in April 2025. At its 2022 launch it was VND 8,000 for half the route and VND 15,000 for the full route. To reach T1 or T2, take bus 152.
Two other routes serve the airport: 72-1 to Vung Tau Bus Station and 103 from Cho Lon Bus Station.
Bus 152 is free until 31 December 2026, and routes 152 and 109 are both on the list of 134 free routes. The exclusion for airport shuttle services does not apply to them. A city bus passenger may carry 10 kg of luggage of 30 x 40 x 60 cm, and more than that needs an extra ticket.

Grab, Xanh SM and taxis
At T3, passengers for taxis, ride-hailing and buses go down to level 1. Taxis such as Mai Linh and Vinasun wait at columns 04 to 08. Xanh SM taxis, VinBus and Phuong Trang buses wait at columns 09 to 15-16.
The Grab pickup at T3 is on level 1 at the PNA parking building. Grab and Be pickups are some distance from the taxi stands: go down to level 1, turn right and walk to the end of the road by the parking building. Motorbike taxis booked by app wait outside the terminal gate, so riders walk out to that area.
Drivers may not stop longer than 3 minutes to pick up or drop off under airport rules. GrabCar pickup at T3 started on 19 June 2025. Grab adds a VND 9,000 airport surcharge on trips to T3 and none on trips from T3.
At the international terminal, Xanh SM’s September 2024 guide places its taxis at columns A01 to A04 on lane A. From doors A1 and A2, go straight to lane A and turn left.
Xanh SM’s Car rate (March 2025) is VND 30,500 for the first 2 km. After that it is VND 15,200 a km to km 12, VND 14,700 a km to km 25 and VND 13,300 from km 26. The final cost depends on distance, tolls and any extra charges.

Late arrivals, luggage and Long Thanh
Bus 109 last leaves T3 at 22:40. After that, ride-hailing or a taxi from level 1 is the way in.
Long Thanh International Airport is not open yet. ACV aims to begin partial commercial operations there on 24 December 2026.
