Hospitals in Ho Chi Minh City for Foreigners: Compared

Hospitals here are compared on what each one states itself, not on reviews. FV Hospital, Vinmec Central Park, Hoan My Sai Gon and City International each state 24-hour emergency care. Family Medical Practice runs an emergency line, *9999, in English and Vietnamese.

FV Hospital

FV is at 6 Nguyen Luong Bang St., Tan My Ward. Its emergency service runs 24/7, and the ambulance hotline is (028) 35 11 35 00. The cardiac hotline is (028) 38 73 10 00.

Its page states JCI accreditation four times in a row, 2016 to 2025. It lists 210+ Vietnamese and expatriate doctors. Emergency decisions are based on medical urgency, not a patient’s financial situation.

On cost, the minimum deposit for internal medicine and paediatric admissions equals the average cost of a three-day stay. FV publishes no VND figure; the admission officer states the deposit at the pre-admission meeting. Package prices apply to self-pay patients only. FV accepts Vietnam’s social health insurance.

Vinmec Central Park International Hospital

Vinmec’s own page gives 720A Dien Bien Phu Street, Thanh My Tay Ward. Show a taxi driver that address or the map pin below.

The emergency department works 24/24h every day, including holidays. The hotline is 0283 6221 166. The hospital has 178 beds. It is re-accredited by JCI.

A rate card is listed on its page. For insurance, cashless billing applies only to insurers with a Vinmec agreement. Bring a passport and insurance card. Confirmation takes 15-45 minutes.

Hoan My Sai Gon Hospital

The hospital is at 60-60A Phan Xich Long Street, Cau Kieu Ward, open 24 hours, phone +84 28 3990 2468. The Australian list gives a separate emergency number, (028) 3995 9860.

It has 300 beds and states ACHSI certification. Its international clinic states bilingual physicians. It states direct billing through insurers and TPAs.

City International Hospital

The Australian list gives No.3, Street 17A, An Lac Ward. The hospital lists emergency 24/7 on (028) 6290 1155.

A specialist consultation is VND 400,000-600,000, an emergency examination VND 600,000 and an X-ray VND 275,000. A CT scan without contrast is VND 2,260,000. A single-bed room is VND 2,750,000 per day. The list may change without notice.

Family Medical Practice, Diamond Plaza

The clinic is at 34 Le Duan Street, Saigon Ward, open 24 hours, 7 days a week. The emergency phone line is *9999 or +84 28 3744 9000. It is available 24/7 in English and Vietnamese.

The ambulance costs VND 3,820,000 for a day call and VND 8,065,000 for a night call for non-subscribers. The zone is the whole HCMC metropolitan area. Membership is 1,980,000 VND per person per year.

Raffles Medical

The clinic is at 285B Dien Bien Phu, Xuan Hoa Ward. Hours are Monday to Friday 8:00-18:00 and weekends 8:00-17:00. It is a clinic, not an emergency hospital. After hours, patients are transferred to American International Hospital, and *1155 is the Raffles line for 24/7 emergencies.

Cashless billing needs a credit card authorisation form.

Victoria Healthcare

The Australian list shows four sites, including 20 - 20Bis - 22 Dinh Tien Hoang. The phone is +84 28 3910 4545. Present a partner insurer card and ID or passport. If the insurer denies fees, you pay the clinic.

Tam Anh General Hospital

Tam Anh emergency services operate 24/7. The hotline is 028 7102 6789 - 093 180 6858. It is a satellite emergency station of the 115 centre. Web prices are for reference only.
